Kapil Sharma recently made headlines when he didn’t show up for the shoot of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ with the team of ‘Baadshaho’. And the stand-up comedian will not be shooting any further episodes either. Post the never-ending controversy surrounding the show, Sony TV, the channel which airs the TV programme said in an official statement, “Kapil has been under the weather for some time now due to which, we have mutually agreed to take a short break. However, once he recovers completely, we will start shooting again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery.” Reports suggest that the channel will air re-runs of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ in the meantime in another time slot, while Krushna Abhishek’s comedy show, ‘The Drama Company’, has been pushed to the former’s time slot of 9 pm as its replacement. Interestingly, Sony had given an extension to Kapil Sharma’s ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ just last month and now a sudden break along with replacement comes as a surprise.
