Bollywood’s ‘queen’ Kangna Ranaut’s sister Rangoli went through tragic times when a rejected suitor decided to take revenge by throwing acid on her, back in 2006. The Bollywood actress recently stated how films influence young minds to take such steps, “I have always said that the guy who had thrown acid on Rangoli, or people who do things like that, think that it is very heroic because their idea of heroism emanates from movies. This sort of stalker, tragedy stricken and obsessive-lover character is hugely glorified in films. Rejected boys identify a lot with that kind of tragic character,” without naming a film or any of her colleagues in Bollywood.

It must be noted that Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Fan’ is based on the outcome of what happens when a fan becomes extremely obsessive about a celebrity. King Khan’s 1993 film ‘Darr’ too was based on exactly the similar plot which Kangna mentioned here.

We wonder if Kangna Ranaut is taking a dig at SRK’s either the past or the forthcoming release, or is she genuinely upset with the kind of cinema that is being made in the Bollywood industry of late?
