Here’s why Akshay Kumar deleted his picture with Indian tricolour

Akshay Kumar violates the code of conduct by holding the Indian national flag upside down during a cricket match. He shared the picture on Twitter and later deleted it tendering an apology

Akshay Kumar was cheering for the Indian women’s cricket team as they took on England in the final face off in Women’s World Cup 2017 at Lords in London. The actor had shared on social media, an image of himself with the Indian national flag. However, Akki was holding the tricolour upside down. While several users pointed out the mistake, Akshay decided to delete the picture and apologise on Twitter. “Extending my sincerest apology for violating the code of conduct for the tricolour. Didn’t mean to offend anyone, the picture has been removed,” he shared. Despite a busy schedule, Akshay ran barefoot to catch the train to Lords, just in time for the Women’s World Cup 2017 cricket match.

While he faltered with the Indian tricolour there, Akshay Kumar is in London for the shooting of his sports drama ‘Gold’ with Reema Kagti. He also promoted his next release ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ in London while shooting for his next.
