Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon have been signed-up to feature in the epic 18th century war – the third battle of Panipat. Ashutosh Gowariker, known for his penchant for historical dramas, will direct this warfare on the silver screen. The film has been titled ‘Panipat’ and will be produced by Ashutosh Gowariker’s wife Sunita Gowariker under the AGPPL banner. The makers are working on the rest of the cast for this iconic battle. Ashutosh Gowariker has booked December 6, 2019 as the release date for ‘Panipat’. For history lovers, the third battle of Panipat was fought between the Maratha Empire and the King of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Abdali in the circa 1700.
