Director-producer Ashutosh Gowariker is working on his forte, that of creating historical films. If buzz is to be believed then the filmmaker has pulled off an interesting casting coup for his next. Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt have reportedly been approached by Ashutosh Gowariker for a film based on the Third Battle of Panipat. For those who are interested in history, the Third Battle of Panipat was fought in 1761 with the Maratha army facing defeat from Ahmad Shah Durrani and his troupe. The said war is considered as one of the most eventful battles of the 18th century till date.
Although Ashutosh Gowariker and the team are yet to officially confirm the cinematic visualisation of the Third Battle of Panipat, it could be a treat to watch Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt playing the lead with Gowariker calling the shots.
