Anushka Sharma and Fox Star Studios’ production venture, ‘Phillauri’, has bagged a mammoth deal worth Rs 12 crore for the sale of its satellite and music rights. The film was made on a modest budget of Rs 21 crore. With this deal, the producers have already recovered a sizeable chunk of their investment. Anushka Sharma and brother Karnesh Sharma head Clean Slate Films and ‘Phillauri’ is the production house’s second venture after ‘NH 10’ in 2015. Anushka Sharma plays the leading lady in ‘Phillauri’, portraying the character of Shashi, a friendly ghost. Set against the backdrop of Punjab, ‘Phillauri’ will mark the directorial debut of Anshai Lal. The film will release on March 24.
