Grapevine says that Abhishek Bachchan has been apparently signed to do ‘Gustakhiyan’, biopic on Sahir Ludhianvi, opposite Priyanka Chopra, to be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Abhishek Bachchan has been on a film singing spree and one of the most interesting additions to his list is that of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biopic on Sahir Ludhianvi. Earlier, speculations were rife that Shah Rukh Khan, Irrfan Khan and Fawad Khan are being considered for the role. But it looks like Abhishek Bachchan has finally bagged the deal to play Sahir Ludhianvi in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. What’s more? Priyanka Chopra’s association with the film remains. To be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the Abhishek Bachchan starrer film is titled ‘Gustakhiyan’ and will explore the famed Urdu poet-lyricist’s romance with Amrita Pritam, portrayed by Priyanka Chopra.
If both the celebs and cinema stars sign on the dotted line then it will be after nine long years that Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra will come together for a film. Abhishek and Priyanka have earlier worked together in projects like ‘Dostana’ (2008), ‘Drona’ (2008) and ‘Bluffmaster’ (2005).
